Our Venue Story
Shady Lane Event Center is a unique event center with options for 2 event halls for your special functions, the upstairs known as the “Ballroom” has seating for 250 guests while the event area downstairs will seat 125 guests comfortable. Located on the outskirts of Barnesville Ohio gives your guests the pleasures of a short drive but still an out of town feel. We strive to offer an all in one facility to help make your event planning much simpler. The main floor offers a catering room with its own exterior entry and a full-service bar to supply your guests with the favorite bar drinks. The Ballroom offers a stage area for performances or wedding party to be seated on. The dj booth is a nice touch to keep everyone dancing while offering in house sound and lighting for ease of setup and tear down with dual overhead projectors for slide shows or monograms. The down stairs offers a full commercial kitchen supplied with many kitchen amenities. The basement area offers its own bathrooms on the same floor and the entire building is handicap accessible from the exterior. The basement also offers overhead sound and an overhead projector for any occasion. The downstairs offers 3 bridal suites to get ready on your big day. One grooms suite, one hair and makeup suite and one bridal suite with many features to make your day great. Outside just below the event center we offer an outdoor venue area to get married at with a concrete sidewalk leading to main area with permanent benches to accommodate 100 seated guests.
