Shady Lane Sportsman’s Club Meeting Minutes
The secretary’s report was read and approved.
The treasurer’s report with an ending balance of $7,213.21 was read and
approved.
Old Business:
Gun training went well with 35 students. Six parents asked how to become members
and also if helping with gun safety training would count as a qualifying event.
Next time we need to have some information and sign up sheets for this event.
Jeanette’s training also went well with about 35 attending as well.
Pheasants will be ready for pick up on Tuesday May 29th.
Nobody except two showed up for the tree-trimming event on the 14th as we had
rain the night before. It didn’t happen the next two weekends either
due to rain also. We will try to reschedule with the sentence to serve people
in the fall.
Gun raffle: We have 1200 tickets printed with 10 guns on the raffle and a special
raffle if you buy a book (10) of tickets you get a chance at a Henry Golden
Boy. A motion was made to get another Henry Golden Boy for club members only
that are selling tickets. For every 50 tickets you sell you get one chance
in the drawing for the gun or cash of $400. The motion was seconded and approved.
New Business:
Bill Mackenthun will mow the lawn in June. We still need a volunteer for July,
if interested contact Doug 320-864-5968.
The shooting flag is gone and needs to be replaced. Doug Fegley will get one.
We have plans for building shooting benches, if interested in building them
contact Kermit 320-864-3856.
We need a skid loader to put up railroad ties, if you have one and/or are interested
helping with this project contact Kermit 320-864-3856.
Will we be having additional boards at the September shoot that we need to
get prizes for? It was suggested that we stick with a meat raffle and save
any other prizes for next years fishing contest as we don’t know how
many will show up at the shoot.
We have a new member, welcome Alan Bearder!
